Research Interests/Experience

With 2 years professional experience in Computer Vision Algorithm Development and a PhD in robotics, my research interests and experiences include computer vision, robotic sensing and algorithms, robotic manipulatation, human motor control, artificial cognition/emotion and protein modelling. I am extremely motivated to pursue multidisciplinary approaches, particularly toward biorobotics/neuromorphic engineering, where developments can be made for biological analysis, biological understanding, and novel mechatronics.

I am currently working as a research fellow in Natural Language Processing at CRIS, the Centre for Research in Intelligent Systems.

My PhD thesis is on robotic chemical sensing. It is entitled, "Robot Odour Localisation in Enclosed and Cluttered Environments Using Naïve Physics". Click to see the main contributions. The work was carried out at the Intelligent Robotics Research Centre, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
